Penza, 20 June 2014. PenzaNews. Employees of Rostelekom participated in the graduation ceremony of children with disabilities who have completed training on the regional program of distance education, held in the provincial boarding school of Penza last Thursday June 19.

High school diplomas were awarded to 17 students.

The press secretary of Penza branch of OJSC Rostelekom Alexei Makarov congratulated the gathered on behalf of the company, and handed the graduates tablet computers.

“For several years Rostelekom have been implementing the project providing access to the Internet Education Center. Our experts do everything to get the process of distance education was as convenient as possible. I congratulate you on finishing school and wish all the best, always go forward and do not be afraid of difficulties,” Alexei Makarov said.

The deputy director of the provincial lyceum on educational work in the DLC Lyubov Kurnosova also congratulated the students.

“Today, you get a high school diploma, certificate which is your medal won by hard work and through incredible difficulty. I congratulate you on this achievement, and I want to congratulate the parents, who helped you to achieve such results. Do not ever forget what your parents have done for you and always be good assistants to them,” she said to the graduates.

As a part of program “Distance education for disabled children” Rostelekom provided access to the Internet for 300 children with disabilities, as well as their teachers in the Penza region.

All participants of the program are using the Internet at the speed of at least 1 Mbit / s without limitation of traffic consumed.

The use of basic network services — access to websites and e-mail, file sharing and filtering harmful content are provided.
