The acting head of administration of Penza Larisa Ryabikhina expressed the need to be prepared to decide on the issues of resettlement of people who arrive in the region from Ukraine. “We have to be ready to provide any kind of social assistance, including the placement of children in kindergartens and educational institutions,” Larisa Ryabikhina said during weekly operational meeting on Tuesday, June 24.

As the press service of the city administration told news agency “PenzaNews,” massive migration of Ukrainian citizens to the Penza region has not yet been adopted, but all structures need to be prepared to receive and temporary accommodate people forced to leave their homeland.

One solution to the problem of placing the Ukrainians could be settling in their municipal health camps in Penza.

“If there is such an order from the government of the Penza region, our institutions are willing to take the children from Ukraine. Moreover, camp “Molodost” [Youth] is year-round, it is heated, so after the end of the summer period, we will be able to accommodate children who come in the fall. Perhaps even with their families,” the acting head of administration of Penza explained.

According to Larisa Ryabikhina, much work has to be done in terms of employment for refugees.

According to preliminary data obtained from Penza enterprises, they have the ability and desire to provide jobs to the people of Ukraine, and in some cases even accommodations.

As it was reported earlier, under the instruction of the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev, Penza delegation went to the Rostov region where Ukrainian refugees are temporarily placed.

Its purpose is to meet people and talk about the prospects of moving and living in the Penza region.
