Penza, 26 June 2014. PenzaNews. Opening ceremony of a new playground was held on the territory of the Penza regional oncologic dispensary on Thursday, June 26.

Children's play area was built as a part of the charitable program “Spring of Hope,” organized by the fund “Civil Union.” This project was selected from 24 works of Penza architects and designers who participated in the contest in March this year.

The first place was taken by a ladybug-shaped project created by the student of versatile college Anzhela Tugulbaeva.

“I wanted to let children enjoy the site of the playground even when they looked at it through the window. This idea is quite practical since many young patients of the Oncology Center can not walk outside. But now the view from the window will delight and motivate them to recover,” Anzhela Tugulbaeva told news agency “PenzaNews.”

25 philanthropists helped raising funds for the construction of the playground. The construction took about a month.

As the head of the fund Oleg Sharipkov admitted at the opening ceremony, at first he did not believe that the work will be done in such short time.

“When I came here a few times, it seemed to me that we had nothing. But now I see that everything turned out as we wanted. I love the area, and I hope it will make good to the kids,” Oleg Sharipkov said.

“Our task is not only to organize the healing process, but also to create conditions for children, close to home atmosphere. This is the only way to achieve their recovery. I think the new site will facilitate this,” the chief physician of the Penza regional oncologic dispensary Vitaly Serebryakov commented during the opening ceremony.

At the conclusion of the opening ceremony, the young patients of the clinic were let out on the playground, then a magician and animators arrived.
