55th place taken by Penza region in rating of Russian regions on welfare of families with children

Penza, 7 July 2014. PenzaNews. The Penza region took the 55th place in the rating of Russian regions on the welfare of families with children as of the end of 2013, the results of which were published by agency “RIA Rating” on Monday, July 7.

According to the data, the most wealthy Russian families live in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, Chukotka and in Moscow, and the most needy — in Altai Krai, Dagestan and Kalmykia.

According to experts, in the country on the whole, welfare of the citizens has improved over the past year, and the number of families barely making ends meet has declined. And, importantly, the growth of income has outpaced inflation.

According to the rating, the average Russian family with two children after deducting minimum expenses the rest should amount to about 30 thousand rubles a month. Thus, the family is able to save about 360 thousand rubles a year. However, in reality people's expenses usually exceed the minimum. Moreover, in 68 of 83 regions the size of the residue, i.e. accumulation of funds falls short of the national average.

In the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous region, which is the leader of the rating, the balance of funds in the family with two children amounts to 90,545 rubles and with three childre — 70,912 rubles per month after the minimum expenditure, while in the Penza region the amount is 16,439 rubles and 10,463 rubles respectively.

In Altai Krai, Kalmykia and Dagestan this amount is 8,676 rubles, 7,233 rubles and 7,202 rubles for the family with two children, and 2,016 rubles, 462 rubles and 630 rubles respectively for the family with three children.
