Penza, 11 July 2014. PenzaNews. 586 people were included in the Penza region amnesty dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

“The largest number of inmates (260) were amnestied by decisions of penal inspections, as well as on the basis of decisions made by preliminary investigation and inquiry bodies (149). The fewest (5) were amnestied by regulations of the administration of correctional institutions. The administration of the detention facility #1 and bailiffs did not make any decisions on amnesty. 172 inmates were amnestied by the courts of the Penza region,” Yuliya Makarova, the Senior Assistant Attorney of the region told news agency PenzaNews on Friday, July 11.

She noted that there were no concerns on the amnesty issue in the Penza region.
