Novice programmers, designers and marketers were split into six teams, attempted to create complete IT-projects, and spoke of their successes and obstacles they had encountered during the task.

Having examined in detail each presentation, the experts, who are the experienced specialists of Penza companies, gave their advice on further work.

As noted by the official representative of the Center of cluster development Irina Meshchenkova, who is supervising the IT field, this project which brought together talented students is one of a kind.

“Young people are working in conditions as close to real as possible. Each team is developing a project that would benefit the residents. These projects are ‘Live travel,’ ‘Diary of treatment,’ ‘Social taxi,’ ‘Aggregator of audits,’ ‘City of ideas’ and ‘Fire academy.’ The IT-lab participants are to implement all six of them. It is too early to say which of them will succeed,” Irina Meshchenkova told news agency “PenzaNews.”

According to Vadim Reutsky, the expert of “Moya rabota” [My job] company who is supervising the “Aggrerator of audits” project, his team has great potential.

“Of course, the guys have a lot to learn. But their successes are visible to the naked eye. An alpha version of the project has been made, but so far it can only be seen on a computer,” the agency interlocutor said.

He explained that “Aggregator of audits” aims to facilitate the users to find information about events held by supervisory departments.

“Our company is engaged in online accounting, and customers often have to go to the websites of individual agencies to find out whether an audit is upon them. We had an idea to collect this information in one place. It can be accessed by entering your TIN on a webpage or sending it by e-mail,” Vadim Reutsky said.

In turn, the representative of “Status” company Georgy Loginov, who is supervising the “City of ideas” project, suggested that the development of his team members will allow residents of Penza contribute to the development of the municipality.

“We all walk around the city and occasionally notice things that we do not like. It can be broken flower-beds, ramshackle benches and so on. Many have the idea how to fix it, but each of us faces the fact that it is impossible to do anything alone, while asking for assistance is too time-taking. We are trying to implement a social project that makes it easy to publish your ideas and thoughts on the web. For example, a person may suggest to make a playground. Other people see it and join the initiative. This means that Penza residents will exhibit a proactive stance and not the sit-and-wait kind of behavior,” he stressed.

IT-laboratory operates in Penza with the support of the Center of cluster development.

With the assistance of the center, lectures, workshops and courses are organized for students. The lecturers are invited from the Penza region and other regions.

Participation in the project is free-of-charge.
