Penza, 23 July 2014. PenzaNews. 1180 attempts of bringing prohibited items in the courthouses of the Penza region were prevented by bailiffs in the first half of 2014.
“The attendees tried to carry inside 32 firearms, 547 rounds of ammunition, 80 units of gas-operated and non-lethal weapons, as well as eight stun-guns. In addition, they detected 513 units of so-called other items being of potential danger to people in the courthouse. These include items for household purposes, which are structurally similar to cold arms, but are not,” Kseniya Pivovarova, the chief expert in media relations of the regional administration of Federal service of judicial bailiffs, told news agency “PenzaNews.”
She explained that all citizens having the above mentioned items were offered to come to court without them.
“After rescanning, in case of absence of prohibited items, the people were admitted to the courthouse,” the agency interlocutor added.
Kseniya Pivovarova stressed that all prohibited items belonged to the attendees legally.
“There were no reasons for the detention of the citizens and their transfer to the department of internal affairs,” she said.
