“Penza dumpster container platforms are disgusting. In some places the trash is not collected, and in others it is, but the area around the container is not cleaned up,” the head of the region said.
Vasily Bochkarev instructed the head of the city administration Yuri Krivov to study the experience of Zarechny in installing CCTV cameras near garbage sites.
“If the container is not cleared out, infections spread, so we should pay attention to the people, as well as the dustmen,” the governor summed up.
Earlier Vasily Bochkarev put forward the initiative to install CCTV cameras to monitor illegal trash dumps. According to him, implementing this project could help identifying people who bury the city under trash.
In addition to that, in May 2013, the governor of the Penza region proposed to create a municipal police force that would supervise the land improvement and patrol the streets. However, this idea did not go beyond a draft project.
