Rospotrebnadzor: 232 violations registered in Penza region summer camps

Penza, 21 August 2014. PenzaNews. The Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being [Rospotrebnadzor] in the Penza region filed 232 reports on violations of sanitary legislation requirements in summer camps in 2014.
“These institutions were fined for the total of 315 200 rubles. One case has been sent to court for failing to meet the regulations,” the press office told news agency “PenzaNews.”
Rospotrebnadzor spokesperson pointed out that the social workers, inspecting the camps over the summer campaign, discovered violations of the equipment and operation requirements, drinking regimen, unsatisfactory results of canteen laboratory inspections, food cooking, produce storage and processing, as well as food documentation, and more.
“Currently, the Penza region has 45 operating summer camps supervised by Rospotrebnadzor. 3 472 children are residing there, including 2 092 children in 11 vacation camps; 700 teenagers in 20 day-care camps; 350 in 12 work and recreation camps; and 330 children in 2 sanatoriums,” the press service said.
The ministry added that all the camps successfully continued their work in the fourth session.
“92.5% of children in the camps gained obvious health benefits,” Rospotrebnadzor noted.
