Penza, 4 September 2014. PenzaNews. Activities within the nationwide action “Day of financial literacy for students” will start in the Penza region on Monday, September 8.

On this day, the Institute for Regional Development of the Penza region will hold a webinar for students on the basic principles of investing.

Subsequently, open classes, lectures and online seminars will be organized in educational institutions of Penza and the region. The lecturers will be the representatives of universities, financial and tax authorities, banks and accounting firms.

“The purpose of this campaign is the formation of financial literacy and skills of effective personal savings management,” the press service of the regional Ministry of Finance commented for news agency “PenzaNews.”

First action “Financial literacy day” was organized in Russia on September 8, 2011.

In 2012, the Penza region joined the action. In 2013, it covered most educational institutions in the region.
