The event brought together over 200 people — the people who participated in the film making, their friends and relatives, as well as those who supported the project.

As film director Maria Lezhikova told news agency “PenzaNews,” the basic idea is that a person needs to do what he loves to be happy.

“The main character Carolina is about 22 years old, she works as a waitress. She is a very reserved person, but she has a great creative potential. It happened so, that Carolina goes to a creative contest, where with the help of friends, she shows her talent, and all ends well,” she said.

Maria Lezhikova added that filming of the movie, which lasts for 33 minutes, took about five months.

“Before that, ‘Jam Production’ used to shoot music videos and the like, and at one point I felt it was time to make a short film. I wrote the script about a year ago, and we started shooting on April 10 of this year, and have recently finished,” the director said.

Talking about the future of the project, she stressed that it will soon be known abroad.

“We are going to take part in various festivals and competitions. We’ll try to embrace all that is in the world. We’ll make the English dubbing and subtitles. In order to select people for the redubbing, there will be special auditions. After that we will send the film to the competitions,” the film creator shared her plans.

Over 150 people were voluntarily involved in the production of film “Happiness.”

The estimated costs of the film amounted to 70 thousand rubles.
