Penza, 8 September 2014. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev expressed his outrage over the fashionless houses that are being constructed in the regional center.

“I am driving around Penza and seeing these shapeless ‘ships’ — hangars, not houses. Is it even possible to accept such ugly constructions? Awkward, ineffective houses,” Vasily Bochkarev said during the operational meeting in the regional government on Monday, September 8.

According to the governor, Yuri Krivov, head of Penza administration, should discipline the chief architect of the city for such offense.

“Is the chief architect even using his eyes? Discipline him, Yuri Ivanovich [Krivov],” head of the region said.

Continuing the topic, Vasily Bochkarev recommend the Penza architects to get familiar with the architecture of such cities as Kazan, Saransk and Nizhny Novgorod, and learn from their examples.

“Let’s build beautiful houses with beautiful yards and underground parking,” the governor urged.
