Over 1400 police officers provide security during elections in Penza region

Penza, 12 September 2014. PenzaNews. 1411 policemen will ensure public order and protect the safety of citizens in the Penza region during the united day of voting, September 14, said police colonel Nikolai Sarmin, deputy chief of Police Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to him, up to one thousand representatives of voluntary community groups will also be protecting public order.
As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, September 14 is the day of election of deputies to the Penza City Duma (35 districts), as well as meetings of representatives in Zarechny (24 districts), Kuznetsk (22 districts) and Penzensky area (19 districts).
Also, the by-elections to the meetings of representatives of Bekovsky, Belinsky, Vadinsky, Kameshkirsky, Kolyshleysky, Narovchatsky, Nizhnelomovsky and Pachelmsky areas will take place.
Moreover, elections to local government committees in all 27 districts of the Penza region are scheduled.
