“We shall have an emergency meeting with group supervisors and students together with the Federal Drug Control Service specialists, narcologists. This incident cannot be hushed up and left unnoticed. The students must realize what kind of responsibility they bear,” Alexander Gulyakov stressed.
He also urged to take all necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future, the press service of the university informs.
Earlier, Ruslan Gulyaev, the deputy minister of education of the Penza region said that the department intends to intensify efforts to prevent drug abuse among youth.
As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, on Friday, September 26, Kamensky inter-area hospital received a young man and three young women with signs of drug poisoning.
It was found out that young people were heading to State Lermontov Museum “Tarkhany” as a part of 1th-year student group of PSU. For fun, they decided to take pills, which were purchased at a pharmacy earlier, along with the beer. This led to serious consequences — a partial loss of consciousness and severe signs of misbehavior.
Later, patients were transferred to the department of toxicology of Zakharyin Penza city hospital, where their condition stabilized.
