Penza, 2 October 2014. PenzaNews. 447,4 million rubles were spent for school nutrition unit modernization in the Penza region. This was reported by Svetlana Kopeshkina, minister of education of the region, at a meeting of the headquarters for the implementation of priority national projects and demographic policy.

According to her, 263 schools in 28 municipalities of the region were covered by the activities related to improvement of food provision.

“The overhaul and reconstruction of nutrition units and dining rooms took place there. School nutrition units’ equipment improved by almost 10 times compared to 2007,” the minister said.

She noted that 96,8% of students in educational institutions of the Penza region are receiving hot meals.

Modernization of material and technical base of school canteens will be continued, the press service of the regional government informs.
