Up to 50 thousand Penza region residents received flu vaccinations

Penza, 7 October 2014. PenzaNews. Over 38 thousand adults and 10 thousand children in the Penza region have been vaccinated against influenza.

Currently, the region received 450 thousand vaccine doses – 350 thousand for adults and 100 thousand for children.
Overall, the National Immunization Schedule for epidemiological season 2014-2015 will provide 550,300 doses of influenza vaccine. The remaining 100 thousand doses will be supplied by November 1.
Flu shots are available at polyclinics.
At least 37.5% of the total population of the Penza region is planned to be vaccinated against influenza in the coming epidemiological season. It is expected to limit the numbers of lethal cases of influenza at the non-epidemic level, the press service of the regional Ministry of Health informs.
