“We are launching this project through the Civic Chamber of Russia and Boomstarter company – a very successful enterprise that helps raise funds for public project bundles. We will assist in funding 40 projects during its start. These projects will receive quality consulting services at our expenses, and be published on Boomstarter platform to raise the necessary funding,” he said.

Alexander Brechalov also noted that the Civic Chamber of Russia plans to pay commission costs of the projects that will be funded through the crowdfunding platform.

Along with that, he told the audience of a new NGO grand money distribution system that is currently in development.

“We would like to try to put in 500 mln or 1 bln rubles in 2016 through a co-financing model. That is, broadly speaking: a project gets published on a crowdfunding platform, and he needs, let’s say, 1 mln rubles. If it raises 500 thousand [rubles], the other 500 thousand will be co-financed through the government support program. Such programs are already employed in London. Making 2 mln out of 1 mln is something both the donators and the government are looking for,” the secretary of the Civic Chamber of Russia concluded.
