Vladimir Putin: we will pay great attention to teachers’ salaries issue

Penza, 15 October 2014. PenzaNews. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has stated that the government will pay great attention to the issue of teachers’ salaries.  “During the last few years, the education infrastructure in Russia has improved: majority of schools were repaired, both the social status and the salaries of the teachers have grown […], but we will continue paying great attention to the issue. Our citizens are too seeing the changes: the society rates the status of the education system more and more positively,” said the President of Russia during the plenary meeting of the All-Russia People’s Front (APF) forum “Quality education for the Country” that began in Penza in the evening hours of Wednesday, October 15.

At the same time, Vladimir Putin stressed that it is important to continue moving forward.

“We must make it all to answer to the challenges of our time and school the future specialists like the present day demands, so that the school pupils can receive sound knowledge base regardless where he teaches,” the head of the state pointed out.

According to the President of Russia, schools must not only teach but first of all school the future generation.

“These are uneasy times for the teachers: the information flow is so strong that it is very difficult to ‘regent the minds’ of the youth; and they need the knowledge, the talent and the wish for self-improvement to meet the challenge,” stated Vladimir Putin.

He also added that he would like to listen to the ideas and suggestions of the audience on development of Russian education.
