Vladimir Putin stressed importance of inclusive education for special needs children

Penza, 15 October 2014. PenzaNews. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin remarked the importance of organizing inclusive education for special needs children during the ongoing plenary meeting of the All-Russia People’s Front (APF) forum “Quality education for the Country” in Penza.

“Correction schools have their good and bad sides: there, the special needs children are separated from the environment and are having difficulties adapting to it later. Other children that do not encounter the special needs kids see them in a different way in the future life, so inclusive education is highly important,” Vladimir Putin said.
At the same time, the President of Russia suggested to correlated closing down the traditional correctional education facilities with opening new inclusive education instutions.
“And I would like to ask our colleagues to pay particular attention to this one,” stressed the leader of the state.
In his reply to a suggestion from the educational community to assemble the list of free educational services provided by the government, Vladimir Putin stated that all education in Russia must be free.
