Penza, 20 October 2014. PenzaNews. The Penza region governor Vasily Bochkarev suggested to begin working with obesity prevention issues beginning from the schools.

“Russia in world’s fat top-20 – shame! To form healthy eating culture, we must begin fighting obesity in schools,” wrote the head of the region in his Twitter last weekend.

Earlier on the same topic, Vasily Bochkarev tweeted VCIOM statistics, according to which every second Russian tries to follow healthy lifestyle guidelines, and almost a half of the population try to eat healthy food.

“A healthy nation is a guarantee of our future,” the Penza region governor concluded.
