274 Ukrainian refugees remain in Penza region temporary settlements

Penza, 23 October 2014. PenzaNews. 274 Ukrainian citizens, including 93 children, still remain in 13 temporary settlements in the Penza region.
As the press service of the regional Ministry of Labor told PenzaNews agency, a total of 869 Ukrainian citizens received temporary housing in the region since July 22, 2014, according to the available quotas.
“We organized 20 job fairs for them that attracted 185 enterprises from Penza and the region. The job fairs were attended by all working-age temporary settlers, resulting in 250 people finding new jobs and 220 people already working,” the department clarified.
The press service also added that Maksim Topilin, the Minister of Labor and Social Security of Russian Federation, called the Penza region one of the most successful in terms of resolving the unemployment issue among the Ukrainian refugees during a selective meeting on October 22.
