Over 100 students of Penza school No. 70 dubbed to Cadets

Penza, 23 October 2014. PenzaNews. Over 100 students of Penza school No. 70 of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Natural Disaster Consequences took the cadet oath during the ceremony held in the great hall of Penza administration on Thursday, October 23.

85 boys and 26 girls took part in the ceremony.
The students, their parents, and the management staff of the institution were greeted by city head Viktor Kuvaytsev, the member of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region Yana Kuprina, the first deputy head of the regional EMERCOM department Alexander Makarov, as well as the representatives of the recruiting office, search and rescue service team, and veterans.
As Viktor Kuvaytsev noted, school No. 70 is famous for its traditions.
“It represents the standard of education and is the hallmark of Penza. I am sure you have something to strive for, and you shall bear the high rank with dignity, achieving all the goals,” he said.
The city head expressed his gratitude to the teaching staff, stressing that the school teachers provide a perfect example of dedication.
During the ceremony, Viktor Kuvaytsev presented Evgeny Vybornov, headteacher of school No. 70, Honorary Worker of the general education of the Russian Federation, a symbolic gift depicting the coat of arms of Russia, the region and Penza.
Alexander Makarov also addressed the audience. He expressed the hope that in the future students will dedicate their lives to service in the EMERCOM.
“I am sure that the oath that you took today will be upheld not only in the school years, but also throughout your lives. I want you to expand the knowledge of life safety and protection of the population, become worthy of cadets of EMERCOM universities of Russia. And in the future, I would like to see you in our ranks,” he said.
During the event, the students presented creative performances, took part in a marching parade, demonstrated martial arts techniques, personal protective equipment and climbing harness abilities.
