According to Elena Stolyarova, the Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Demography of the region, it should strengthen the institution of the family and bring back the close-knitted relations between different generations when the adults help educating children and the young do not abandon the elderly.
“We need to entrench family values associated with the need to take care of the elderly, to school your children, to pass the traditions further,” Elena Stolyarova explained during the meeting of the committee on family, motherhood, fatherhood and childhood under the governor of the Penza region, held on Tuesday, October 28.
She also suggested the committee to help find those families that will be an example for others.
According to Elena Stolyarova, their stories can become the basis for articles in local newspapers, as well as newspieces on regional TV channels.
The minister added that holidays and anniversaries, when representatives of different generations gather at one table, are perfect examples of family traditions that must be popularized.
“Each activity must involve the family,” she said.
