12 draftees conscripted during honorary ceremony in Penza
Penza, 30 October 2014. PenzaNews. Honorary conscription ceremony for 12 draftees from Leninsky and Pervomaisky districts of Penza city took place in the museum of local lore on Thursday, October 30.

The chairman of the city veteran council Vladimir Kerkhanadzhev, deputy heads of the administrations of Pervomaisky and Leninsky districts Anna Krasnova and Alexander Maksimov, chairman of the regional organization “Russian Afghanistan veterans’ union” Vladimir Kholzinev, the chairman the regional civil organization “Spetsnaz veterans’ union” and other guests wished the future soldiers well.
As Vladimir Kerkhanazhev pointed out, Penza citizens have always been the ideal soldiers.
“Follow the traditions, serve our Motherland with honor and diligence. Come back safe and sound,” he said.
According to Sergei Spirin, head of conscription department of the regional recruitment office on Pervomaisky and Leninsky districts of Penza city, the recruitees will be sent to several military units, including the President’s Regiment, spec ops forces, and signal corps.
“We will deliver them to the regional collecting station immediately after this event,” he noted.
During the event, three Penza citizens were awarded the medal of the Ministry of Defense “For retaking Crimea.”
“Some of them served in Sevastopol in navy units, and were directly involved in ensuring the safety on Crimean land. This medal was introduced only recently, and we are awarding it for the first time. The guys did their combat duty well,” Sergei Spirin stressed.
Evgeny Elistratov, Dmitry Kulyavtsev and Evgeny Firstov received the award.
