According to Nikolai Argatkin, the Minister of Forestry unting Sector and Natural Resources Management for Penza region, reforestation of the lands that suffered from the 2010 draughts and fires is one of the most important missions for the ministry.

“We are continuing to clean up the former fire sites and prepare the soil,” he said.

Nikolai Argatkin added that the spring of 2014 had few available days due to increasingly warm weather, but the foresters still finished their work according to schedule.
