Yuri Krivov: National Unity Day special among Russian holidays

Penza, 4 November 2014. PenzaNews. National Unity Day celebrated this Tuesday, November 4, holds a special place among the national holidays of The Russian Federation, said the head of Penza city administration Yuri Krivov.

“This day stands for the best traditions, patriotism and belief in Russia’s great mission. History provides us with great examples that our power is in unity, in combined effort. It is comforting to see that people of many nationalities and confessions, diverse cultures, diverse political views coexist in Penza. Uniting to preserve our rich history, unique culture, to form a powerful and worthy state – this is the great national purpose the holiday is based on,” said the mayor.
Yuri Krivov expressed his belief that the wish to cooperate and create will continue to be the distinguishing features of Penza people.
“I wish all who live in Penza good health, happiness, well-being, success in your endeavors, patience and mutual respect to your neighbors and compatriots, and kindness and peace to all,” the press service of the city administration quotes the mayor.
