Penza, 11 November 2014. PenzaNews. The prosecutor’s office of Kuznetsk, Penza region, found JSC “Rostelecom” in violation of the anti-extremism laws.

“We have established that the ISP in question provides free access to the website with the article ‘What to do for the Russians in Russia’ by Boris Milonov, which has been included in the federal extremism materials listing as of the 13 May 2013 verdict of the Kirov region court, Tolyatti,” the senior media assistant attorney of the Penza region Yuliya Makarova told “Penzanews” agency.

According to her, the investigation found out that the access to the webpage in question is open to a variety of users, including the underage clients of JSC “Rostelecom.”

“This may negatively affect their moral development and cause a growth in extremist behavior in society,” noted the agency interviewee.

Yulia Makarova explained that “Rostelecom” is practically assisting the disseminators of the forbidden material by providing technical means to access it.

“According to the legislation, the company must take measures to block access to the designated website. The head of ‘Rostelecom’ has received an instruction on correcting the revealed violations, which is currently under review,” said the senior media assistant attorney of the region.
