Penza, 27 November 2014. PenzaNews. The Minister of Health of the Penza region Vladimir Stryuchkov ordered to open special medical certificate rooms in regional clinics and hospitals after January 1, 2015. The order was given during his meeting with the chairmen of subordinate organizations.

This novelty is expected to reduce work load for general practitioners and pediatricians who are currently spending about 20% of their working hours issuing medical certificates.

Medical certificate rooms will enroll average-level medical workers, who will perform their duties with the help of an automated computer system.

Doctors will still collect any necessary information on patients, such as current status, and renew it after each visit: however, since the new year, patients will be able to go to the aforementioned rooms, not to their doctors, to receive a medical certificate.

“Therefore, current IT support program, which has been under construction until now, will be able to activate in full force,” the press service of the Ministry of Health in the Penza region commented for PenzaNews agency.

They also added that after the end of 2014, doctors will only issue medical certificates for driver and weapon possession licenses.
