“The man was fined 2,500 rubles for violating the regulations on gathering water resources according to part 2, Art. 8.37 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. The fishing-loving deputy refused to pay the fine, probably hoping for mercy, and was sentenced according to Part 1, Art. 20.25 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, titled ‘Avoiding the sentence’,” Yana Zagrebelnaya, official representative of the Federal Service of Court Bailiffs of the Penza region, told PenzaNews agency.

According to her, the bailiff found the man guilty and choose to assign him to community service.

“This sentence will be very beneficial: he will help the street-sweepers and pay the fine as well,” remarked the agency interlocutor.
