“PROchteniye” children and family reading promotion campaign presented in Penza

Penza, 1 December 2014. PenzaNews. The regional project “PROchteniye” aimed to promote children and family reading traditions will be presented in the Lermontov Penza regional library on Monday, December 1.

As the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Penza region told PenzaNews agency, the event will involve 500 participants, including staff members of the regional Institute of Regional Development, education department and methodological center, as well as principals, teachers and librarians of educational institutions.
The presentation will feature a children’s book drawing exhibition, a family-recommended book expo, a book store, and a charity drive “Gift a book!”
The afternoon events will include presentations “Teacher’s role in promoting reading,” “Modern school library as student reading skills forge,” “Family reading. Reviving forgotten traditions…” and “Preschool reading: inculcating a taste for books.”
The presentation of “PROchteniye” campaign will also reward 9 winners of the competition “Where does Motherland come from…” as well as culminate in a roundtable discussion “Developing children’s creativity in local preschool educational facilities.”
