Penza, 1 December 2014. PenzaNews. A Penza couple who have been religiously visiting the church of Supreme Apostles St. Peter and Paul swore teetotal after learning they will soon have a child.

“The young woman had had difficulties getting pregnant for a long period of time. After making confessions and attending religious ceremonies the husband and the wife made a decision to life a life without alcohol if pregnancy is achieved. Our Lord has blessed the good will, and the long-awaited pregnancy was diagnosed a few weeks later. As a sign of their gratitude to the God for granting them their wish, the couple swore teetotal,” the press service of the Penza diocese informed PenzaNews agency.

The religious ceremony for the couple was conduted by the archpriest Alexiy Gorshkov, the chairman of the parish templary by the church.
