Penza, 1 December 2014. PenzaNews. Penza region government strengthened its protection over coniferous trees in the 2014New Year period after the governor Vasily Bochkarev signed the order.

According to the document, a copy of which became available to PenzaNews agency, the regional Ministry of Forestry in collaboration with the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs should organize raids in forest areas where illegal tree felling may take place, and set up checkpoints to detect smuggling of trees and pine branches, in the period of December 10-31.

Control over the order execution is assigned to the deputy chairman of the regional government coordinating public policy issues in the field of forest relations, environmental protection and nature.
