Penza, 2 December 2014. PenzaNews. Awarding ceremony of 3rd regional photo contest “Sursky area Geography 2014” was held in the Tatlin art school No. 1 in Penza on Tuesday, December 2.

The event was opened by Igor Pantyusha, chairman of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society, who noted that the photo contest attracts new participants each year.

In her turn, Tatiana Ivaylovskaya, director of the art school No. 1, thanked the photographers for their insight into the beauty within the usual things.

“It’s nice that our small homeland is an inexhaustible source of creativity for many talented people from year to year. I wish to all participants only one thing: do not pass by interesting things which are so many all around us. Look for something unusual in everyday things and create new works,” she said.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, regional photo contest “Geography of Sursky area - 2014” was launched in the Penza region in May. It featured images of landscapes, architectural ensembles, as well as animals of the Penza region, made by both professional and amateur photographers.
