“December 3 is International Day of People with Disability. It is a special day in the calendar that reminds us about the people who live together with us and are the members of society just like anybody else,” he noted.

As the head of the city clarified, over 39,000 disabled people, more than 1,300 out of which are children, live in Penza city.

“Despite their troubles, the disabled live active lives and do what they like the most: some indulge in sports and reach the top, some are fond of art. This is the great power of spirit that makes you an example to the others. You are showing everybody how to value one’s life and fight for it. I wish you fulfilling lives, happiness, understanding of those close to you, and, most importantly, sound health,” the press service of the Penza city Duma quotes Victor Kuvaytsev.
