“Ulitsa Moskovskaya” included in short list of applicants for fund “Sreda” support

Penza, 5 December 2014. PenzaNews. Informational and analytical, socio-political and business newspaper “Ulitsa Moskovskaya” published by Penza autonomous NGO “Publishing House ‘Valentin Manuylov’,” was included in the short list of applicants for financial support from the fund “Sreda.”

Moreover, the expert council’s short list includes Moscow media resources Colta.ru, “Diletant,” “Dozhd,” CPLife,” “Inostrannaya Literatura,” “Mediazona”; “Novaya Gazeta” website, and also “ZAKS.ru” (St. Petersburg), “Pskovskaya gubernia” (Pskov), “Svobodny kurs” (Barnaul), and “TV-2” (Tomsk).
In 2014, 170 media representatives from 77 cities applied for financial support of the fund. 48% of applicants are newspapers and magazines, 35% are online resources, 9% are radio and TV stations, 8% are news agencies.
The evaluation was performed by 36 members of the expert council.
In 2014 the fund “Sreda” plans to allocate 50 million rubles, which will be used to support the mass media.
The names of the three winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 24.
