“Recently, several free ad websites became populated with false information about employment opportunities in the administration of Penza city via bypassing the procedures established by the legislation of the Russian Federation. Due to the danger, the city administration draws public attention to our official procedure for employment,” reads the statement published on the city administration website on Monday, December 8.
It clarifies that the administration of Penza employs workers according to the provisions of the Labor Code; the federal law dated March 2 2007, “On municipal service in the Russian Federation”; and the order of the City Duma dated March 29 2013, “On competition for municipal service position or inclusion in personnel reserve to fill vacant post of municipal service in local government of Penza.”
“Information about job vacancies is posted on the official website of the administration in ‘Vacancies’ section of ‘Municipal service’ subportal,” the statement reads.
As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, a 41-year-old resident of Bessonovsky area became a victim of fraud when trying to get the position of a driver in the administration of Penza.
The man saw the job ad at Avito.ru. He called the number, and the unknown, who introduced himself as assistant to the head of urban utilities department, offered to come to the mayor’s office for an interview. On the way there, he received another call from the stranger who asked the victim to place 2,600 rubles on his mobile phone account, promising to return the money at the meeting. Following the instructions, the victim placed the money using a Sberbank ATM. As it turned out, there was no interview scheduled in the administration of Penza.
