Penza, 10 December 2014. PenzaNews. The New Year and Orthodox Christmas costume ball dances at the “Tarkhany” State Museum-Reserve of the Penza region will begin starting from Saturday, December 20.

The youngest visitors will be met with a New Year fairy tale “The King’s Ball” with an investigative plotline and a soothing conclusion.

Adult visitors are invited to attend “The New Year’s Night Dream, or How The King Married His Sons” and “We Go to the Masquerade…” that recreate the atmosphere of a ball during the first half of the 19th century. The audience is asked to be dressed for a ball party and bring costume masks.

Another play for the guests of the Museum-Researve is “Finding Grooms for Snegurockha.”

According to the website of the museum, all attendees are asked to bring a pair of heelless shoes to make it easier for them to take part in a 19th-century ball.

The festive events will last until Friday, January 9.
