Penza, 15 December 2014. PenzaNews. The Penza region governor Vasily Bochkarev suggested inviting mass hypnotists to the region to help fight alcoholism and smoking.

“Alcohol and tobacco lead to bad demographical situation and poor labor level. We must rectify the growth in numbers among the drinking and the smoking: for that, we need mass hypnotists, we need to find them or pay for their education from regional budget,” Vasily Bochkarev said during a briefing session of the regional government on Monday, December 15.

According to the governor, such specialists must be integrated into enterprises.

“It’s difficult to make a state official work [in terms of preventing alcoholism and smoking]. He’s only active when he’s applying for the office or for more money,” Vasily Bochkarev added.
