As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, the former building of Penza Lunacharsky Regional Drama Theater was destroyed by fire on January 2, 2008.
The fire, which lasted for about ten hours, was extinguished by all special forces of Penza and Zarechny. According to specialists, the area of fire was about 4 sq. meters. No one was killed or injured.
The cause of fire was a technical fault in the wiring of the building. Short circuit happened in one of the ceiling lamps of the theater, and the fire quickly spread to the attic.
