Penza, 26 December 2014. PenzaNews. Over 180 mass events that engage over 50 thousand citizens will be organized in the Penza region on the New Year night.

No less than 600 police officers and 120 special vehicles will be maintaining order and public safety.

The common areas of celebration, especially areas with New Year trees, will be inspected for explosives using trained dogs and special detectors.

The Internal Affairs department of the Penza region will be put on 24-hour schedule between December 30 and January 12, along with increased alertness of investigation teams and police dispatches, reservations for escalation, and improved guard for vital urban and government buildings and objects.

As the press service of the regional government says, the EMERCOM Penza branch will be watching over 900 locations with children celebrations, including 196 city-important places, via personal presence on all school, kindergarten and other events.
