Elderly resident of Arbekovo urban neighborhood joined parish templary
Penza, 5 January 2015. PenzaNews. An elderly man living in Arbekovo neighborhood swore teetotal after learning of the templary of the church of Supreme Apostles St. Peter and Paul.
As the press service of the Penza diocese told PenzaNews agency, the religious ceremony for the couple was conducted by the archpriest Alexiy Gorshkov, the chairman of the parish templary by the church, on Sunday, January 4.
86 attendees of the Penza church of Supreme Apostles St. Peter and Paul – 47 men and 39 women – swore teetotal during 2014.
Among those who decided to abstain from drinking alcohol are also 22 wives and husbands, one priest and one seminary student.
The templary is also helping 13 residents of the Penza region, and two persons originating from other parts of Russia.
