Penza, 8 January 2015. PenzaNews. Festive New Year events planned outdoors have been cancelled in Penza city due to severe frost, the press service of the city administration informed PenzaNews agency.

“The original schedule for Thursday, January 8, included Christmas plays on Fontannaya square and in ‘Druzhba’ public garden, as well as festive campaign in the Belinsky park,” the Penza city administration clarified.

A night before, the temperature got as low as -30°C. During the day, it got slightly warmer, with thermometers showing -25°C.

According to the weather forecast on Friday, January 9, day temperature will rise up to -13…-11°C. The weekend will be warmer, above -5°C.
