Penza, 13 January 2015. PenzaNews. An all-Russian scientific conference “Botanical collections: Russia’s national heritage” will be hosted at the Penza State University on February 17-19. The event will also potentially feature international researchers.

As the press service of the PSU informed PenzaNews agency, the conference will be dedicated to the 120th “anniversary” of the Sprygin Herbarium and the 100th anniversary of the Russian Botanical Society.

“The agenda features plenary reports on the most important areas of modern biology, as well as spoken reports and poster presentations,” added the service.

According to the PSU, the conference discussions will be mainly dedicated to ways of gathering and preserving herbariums, tips and tricks on working with them, means of collecting digital databases, and more.
