Penza, 20 January 2015. PenzaNews. 15 students who excelled in studying, creative activities, sports and other activities in 2014 have received awards from the head of Penza administration.

The award ceremony took place in the mayor’s hall on Tuesday, January 20.

Welcoming the participants, Yury Krivov, head of the city administration, thanked the teachers and parents who keep actively pushing the children to do their best, and addressed the students with a word of advice.

“Personal success should not be a lifelong goal, especially in Russia. It is impossible to be happy alone. It is an axiom. If you live for yourself, be prepared for becoming an unhappy person. Our life, our abilities, our talents are only worth something when they are sacrificed, used for relentlessly helping others. And the more persons you are helping, the more beautiful you become,” he said.

The mayor wished everyone to work hard so that their city and country become worthy of their patriotic feelings.

Each of the awarded students received 10 thousand rubles.
