Over 14 thousand children born in Penza region in 2014

Penza, 21 January 2015. PenzaNews. 14,736 children were born in the Penza region in 2014. These are preliminary data of the regional Ministry of Health.

It is 220 children more than a year earlier.

The birth rate amounted to 10.9 per one thousand residents, up from 10.6 in 2013.

5,851 babies were born In Penza, which is 331 more than in 2013. The birth rate rose from 10.6 to 11.2 per thousand capita, and exceeded the regional rate.

High birth rate was registered in Bessonovsky (13.5), Penzensky (13.3), Gorodishchensky (12.3), Kolyshleysky (11.4), Luninsky and Kuznetsky (11.8 each), Sosnovoborsky (11.3), Kameshkirsky (11.2) areas and Kuznetsk (11.1).

The Penza region mortality rate remained at the level of the previous year and amounted to 14.8 per one thousand residents.

Lower than the regional average is the mortality rate in Penza (12.6), Bessonovsky (14), Gorodishchensky (14.3), Spassky (14.4), Penzensky areas (14.7) and Kuznetsk (14.6).

Natural population decline decreased from -4.1 to -3.9 per one thousand residents.

According to official data, mortality decreased from a number of pathologies, including diseases of the circulatory system — from 928.8 to 886 per 100 thousand residents, from cancer — from 206.5 to 199.8, from pneumonia — from 6.7 to 5.9.

30 working aged people fewer died this year compared with the last year data. The rate amounted to 539.9 per 100 thousand working residents.

The working population mortality rate is below regional in Penza, Gorodishchensky, Lopatinsky, Neverkinsky and Spassky areas.
