Zarechny, 27 January 2015. PenzaNews. The city of Zarechny of the Penza region has initiated a new project that allows the citizens to donate money for the construction of the Church of Christmas using SMS billing.

To donate 40 rubles, a citizen can send a message with the text “Храм58” in Cyrillic to caller ID 7522.

“If you want to donate a different sum, you must put it after the code prefaced by a space – for example, ‘Храм58 100’. In any case, your mobile service provider will ask you to confirm the transfer, after which you will receive an SMS saying ‘Love exists’ – a confirmation of successful donation,” the public relations department of Zarechny city commented for PenzaNews agency.

The first, symbolic stone of the foundation to the new church in Zarechny was placed in May 2010.

The church building is constructed according to an innovative blueprint that places the weight from four secondary cupolas to the bearing walls, allowing more architectural and structural freedom.

The building is constructed along with its adjoined belfry, and will consist of two halls: the upper church with a capacity of 800 attendees, and the lower church for as many as 400 people, that will be used mostly for religious rituals and will include additional rooms.

The church will be approximately 50 meters tall at spire level.
