“Ulitsa Moskovskaya” newspaper to receive 700,000 from “Sreda” fund

Penza, 5 February 2015. PenzaNews. “Ulitsa Moskovskaya,” a news and analysis newspaper that deals with social, political and business issues released by the “Valentin Manuylov” publishing house, will receive 700 thousand rubles of financial support from “Sreda” fund as one of the laureates of the competition that took place in Moscow on Wednesday, February 4.

The largest financial grants of 7.5 million rubles will be provided to TV channels “Dozhd” and “TV-2” from Tomsk.
At the same time, financial support will also be provided to the newspaper “Svobodniy Kurs” (1.7 million), and journals “Inostrannaya Literatura” (1.4 million) and “Living with Cerebral Palsy.”
Moreover, the newspaper “Pskovskaya Guberniya,” as well as online resources “Colta.ru” and “Mediazona,” will receive 1 million rubles each.
The news outlets chosen to be supported by “Sreda” fund in 2015 will also be able to apply for the same amount of financial support during the subsequent two years.
As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, a total of 170 media resources from 77 cities (newspapers and journals – 48%, online resources – 35%, radio and TV stations – 9%, news agencies – 8%) applied for financial grants in 2014.
The jury of the competition involved 36 experts, including Leonid Parfenov, Svetlana Sorokina, Marianna Maksimovskaya, Irina Yasina, Manana Aslamazyan, Pavel Gusev, Anna Kachkaeva, and so forth.
