Penza, 5 February 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza foundation “Helping Hand for Stray Animals” plan to organize a cat adoption expo on March 1.

The event will take form as a “Cat Day” celebration timed to coincide with the similarly named date in Russia that is traditionally observed on the first day of spring.

According to Inna Nazarova, executive director of the foundation, the visitors will be able to see and pet the animals looking for new owners, learn more about the “Helping Hand for Stray Animals” and buy merchandize or donate some money for support.

“We hope to gather together all those who have a place in their hearts for stray cats, who want to help them and perhaps even take them home,” she noted.

The expo will only demonstrate properly sprayed and inoculated felines.

The location of the event has not yet been announced.
