Penza, 14 February 2015. PenzaNews. A woman who was injured after falling in a bus due to sudden stop will receive 25,000 rubles of moral compensations from the municipal enterprise “Penza Passenger Transportation.”

“In her claim, the woman wrote she got on a Volzhanin brand bus heading on route No. 82C from Stantsiya Arbekovo bus stop on September 20, 2013. When she entered the vehicle through the middle doors and stood there clinging to a rail, the doors close down and the bus abruptly began to move, making several people, including her, fall down. She hit a metal bracing when falling, and later left for home after getting off the bus on Rynok Komarovo bus stop,” Natalya Bychenkova, press secretary of the Penza regional court, informed PenzaNews agency.

On September 29, the woman went to the hospital due to suddenly worsened condition, and was diagnosed with a displaced fracture of the ninth right rib, she added.

“The woman underwent a lengthy therapy course, and is still afraid of commute vehicles and driving. Due to this fact, she requested to fine the offending party 50,000 rubles as compensation for moral damages,” explained the agency interlocutor.

On November 5, 2014, the Oktyabrsky area court of Penza has partially satisfied the complaint by fining the offending party 25,000 rubles, Natalya Bychenkova clarified.

“Not agreeing to the verdict, the defendant filed a complaint, which was dismissed by the collegial board of the court. The sentence has come into force,” the press secretary concluded.
