Each of the buses has 17 seating places and enough space for a total of 54 passengers, the press service of the city administration Vladimir Kshumanev informed PenzaNews agency.
“The management of municipal enterprise ‘Autotrans’ plan to test the buses on all routes to find where they will prove to be the most effective. On their first day, they were used to drive students to the Agricultural Academy, and will work on 11 KPP–Neighborhood 18 route,” he explained.
Two more LiAZ buses will start serving the passengers on Friday, February 20, the speaker added.
“‘Autotrans’ has purchased the vehicles by the end of the previous year. We used some of the city design elements developed by the Young Penza Architects union to prep up our buses,” Vladimir Kshumanev added, saying each of them sports several images of a moose – one of the unofficial emblems of the city.
